CEMETERY INSCRIPTIONS-GRINDROD B.C.

GRINDROD UKRANIAN CATHOLIC CEMETERY
Grindrod is on highway 97B north of Enderby. To visit the cemetery, turn south (right) off the highway
at 4th Avenue in Grindrod.  This avenue runs parallel to the railway tracks which are on your right,
and after a dog-leg jog to the right becomes Crandlemire road. About a half kilometer down
Crandlemire Road and to your left  you'll see the gates of the cemetery, flanked on either side by white posts
crowned with pine cone like carvings. The cemetery is fenced and well cared for. All the graves
are at the far end, several are unidentified because the plaques have either been removed or have
fallen off. The style of monuments where this has happened appear to have had an engraved
plaque glued to the granite or cement headstone.
