This center  is a  branch of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. Most centers are located in meetinghouses of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Everyone is welcome to use these centres.

Services of Family History Centers

Volunteers will help you use the resources at each center. These resources include the International Genealogical Index, the Family History Library Catalog (tm), Family Registry (tm), and where available, Ancestral File (tm). The centers also have reference source and copies of some records from the Family History Library. The 1881 census for Great Britain is available.

You can do much of your family history research at a family history center by requesting copies of records from the Family History Library. Most records are on microfilm or microfiche and can be loaned to a center for a small fee. While records from throughout the world can be used at any center, most centers do not collect or preserve local records.

Since their staffs are limited, the centers cannot respond to mail inquiries. Also, because there is no mailing address, mail will not be delivered.

Librarians are available to help you.
 
          Local holdings on microfiche include  International Genealogical Index, Family History Library Catalogue,
Family Registry, Surname Index, Author Title Index, Persi Index, and various gazeteers and topographical dictionaries
On film we have Parish Registers, Census Records and other items which have been ordered by patrons
Films and microfiche of all available records at Salt Lake City can be ordered by patrons at a rate of $5.00 for a 60 day loan of films and at 20 cents per page for microfiche.
The library has a microfiche and film reader/printer making it possible for patrons to get photocopies at a small fee
Patrons have the use of the following programs on computer:

  •     Ancestral search-four generation programs submitted by patrons since 1978
  •     International Genealogical Index
  •     Family History Library Catalogue
  •     Personal Ancestral File-a computer program for the organization of your research
  •     Temple Ready-for research to be submitted
  •     U.S. Military Index
  •     Social Security Death Index-U.S. only
  •     Scottish Records- Old parochial records from Scotland
