ILEY

Iley service held Aug. 27

A celebration of life was held Aug. 27 for the late Thomas Wellington Iley who died at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Aug. 23. He was 32.

Born at Enderby on Jan 1, 1970, Tom lived in this area his whole life. He attended school at Armstrong, enjoyed family and friends. Nascar racing, ball, woodworking and fishing.

Mr. Iley is survived by Shelly and three sons, Elijah, Aaron and Austin at Armstrong, mother Thelma Iley at Armstrong, father Brent Iley at Enderby, sisters Cindy Smith at Keremeos, Merry Smith at Armstrong, Tina Smith at Armstrong, Rose Smith at Enderby; grandmother Alice Lynes at Falkland; half brothers and sisters Darryl at Greenwood, Randy at Kamloops and Brenda in Ontario.

A visitation was held Monday between 6 and 8 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home. The celebration service was held at Round Lake Hall at 2 p.m. Aug. 27.

Mountain View Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.

INGRAM

Dorothy Ingram dies at age 69

Armstrong resident Dorothy Audrey Ingram (Greenaway) died at age 69 at Vernon Jan. 29.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Leonard of Armstrong; daughters, Elizabeth (Wayne) of Trail and Heather of Richmond; son James (Kathy) of Chilliwack and five step daughters, Trudy, Donna, Janet, Linda and Dianne, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sister Shirley of Burnaby.

Cremation and arrangements are in care of Mountain View Funeral Home. Donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to the B.C . Lung Association.

ISSAC

Issac funeral held July 15

A funeral was held for Harold Issac at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church July 15.

Mr. Issac, who died at Vernon Jubilee Hospital at age 79, moved to Armstrong after his wife, Alma, Died in 1996 and later lived at Abbeyfield House at Vernon.

Born on the family farm at Truax, Sask., he grew up as a farmer until he joined the army and served in the Second World War. He married Alma Lauer after the war in 1948 and the couple had two children.

Mr. Issac and his wife continued to farm until 1960 when they moved to Milestone, Sask., where he worked for Canada Trust as an estate planner until his retirement.

The couple later managed the Balfour Apartments in Regina and loved spending time at their lakefront cottage at Fort Qu’Appelle.

Mr. Issac is survived by son Doug and wife Karen, daughter Linda and husband Dave, brother Frank and grandchildren Cameron and Samantha. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Maryetta and Norman, brother Cecil and his wife Alma.

He was buried in Regina Memorial Gardens July 18. Mountainview Funeral Home officiated at the tea following the funeral.
