ROBERTSON

Sheila Ann Robertson went to meet her Lord on Oct. 2, 2000 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her mother and father in 1999. She leaves daughter Shelly, son Zachary, both of Vancouver, and husband Bill of Osoyoos. Sheila was an equestrian, and loved to breed and show her horses. She led an active life as a teacher, realtor and librarian. She was eager to explore the unknown and loved to travel to exotic destinations. For me, she was a wife, friend, lover and confidant, someone with whom I could share my thoughts and experiences. She will be sadly missed. I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to those who made her last days as comfortable as possible – special thanks to Dr. Brigden and the staff of the Oncology Centre in Penticton; Karen Fleming of the Hospice Department of the Oliver Hospital; the members of the Home Support Services of Osoyoos; John Cooper and his staff; Dr. Fred Hamilton for his extra efforts and caring; the rentors of Armstrong for their support; and especially Bernie Ekland for helping during a difficult time. My thanks also to all who sent cards, flowers, and expressed condolences. My life was made much easier by your kindness. When the door to this life closes there are always those who are left behind. It was a pleasure and an honour to have her in our life. – Bill Robertson

They rented and owned dairy farms in Chilliwack, Rosedale, and Aggasiz for many years until moving to Enderby when Sam was 16 to purchase a farm so that he and his two brothers, Case and Herb, could farm. At the age of 19, Sam left home to work on his own, ending up in Chilliwack where he rented a farm to raise heifers while working in construction, building barns.
