Trout Lake Cemetery
The following is a transcription of the Trout Lake Cemetery located in Trout Lake, British Columbia, Canada.
Historical Background
Trout Lake City is situated at the north end of Trout Lake in the Lardeau region of B.C. It was a mining town whose heyday was around the turn of the last century. There are still a few full time residents there and some summer cottagers. The cemetery is almost invisible from the road as the forest has overgrown it.
It is unknown when the cemetery site became a burying ground, the first recorded grave is that of John Doherty in 1900.
