Enderby Cenotaph
Cenotaph Committee
The Cenotaph Committee was established in 1936 "to erect a public memorial to the men of Enderby City and District who gave up their lives in the World War ".
The monument was built for $235 by Vernon Granite and Marble Co. in Okanagan Landing. It was erected on the southwest corner of the lawn in front of City Hall. Subscriptions totaling $242.15 were given by local residents and organizations.
Location
The location of the Enderby Cenotaph is as follows...
In downtown Enderby head north from the main intersection of George Street and Cliff Avenue.
Take the first road to your right, Mill Avenue.
About a block down this road the Cenotaph is on the left side of the road.
