CEMETERY INSCRIPTIONS-SILVER CREEK B.C.

SILVER CREEK CEMETERY
Beginning in Armstrong at the Co-Op Service Station on Wood Avenue, go west on Wood Avenue
cross the railway tracks, follow the pavement and the avenue becomes Salmon River Road.
Follow this for 17.9 km, turn right (north) toward Salmon Arm. Proceed for 16.3 km - you will
pass the Fire Hall & General Store, then on the left (west) side of the road you will see a
plywood sign which says "Silver Creek Cemetery".
This is quite an old burying ground on a densly treed, very steep hillside. There is evidence of
several graves which are not marked.
The earliest marked grave is 1911, and the latest is 1995, though there are newer graves
which have no funeral home markers nor headstones.
72 stones transcribed in 1998.

Some unmarked graves are listed below
